'Teufelsberg' (fragment)

'Teufelsberg' consists of a double projection.
The Teufelsberg, an artificial hill made of world war 2 debris, is the highest hill in Berlin.
During the cold war it housed an American intelligence agency. The station contained various futuristic domes. These domes are made of canvas. After the Wall came down the Americans left, but the complex still exists. It is now destroyed by vandals. The domes show holes cut by knives.
From the center of two towers Schuurman filmed two 360 degree panoramas. The holes in the canvas frame the Berlin landscape. The two different standpoints create a shifting panoramic view of Berlin.
The only audible sound is the wind caressing the canvas.
